Welcome to Amy!

Excited to formally welcome Amy Kapernick to the Makers, although she's actually been part of the team for a while now :)!

I've had the privilege of working with Amy and seeing her work for the last few years, not the least of which as fellow committee members in DDD Perth. Amy is an incredible contributor to the communities that she participates in, not only as a committee member, but also a conference speaker, workshop facilitator, blogger and active community member. This is so well aligned to a core principle of MakerX that we drive growth through continuous learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

Amy is a regular conference speaker locally and internationally

As an expert in frontend development and accessibility I'm excited about the extra technical strength Amy injects into the MakerX team. Amy has been working with us on an ad hoc contract basis for a number of months and as of this week joins us more formally as an Senior Engineer!

Here's what our CEO, Matt Davies, had to say:

It's been great having Amy on the team so far and I'm excited to see even more of her amazing work.

Here's what Amy had to say:

After working with various members of the team as a contractor for a while now, I'm excited to join on a more permanent part-time basis. It's been great fun to share my passions for Semantic HTML, CSS and Accessibility with the rest of the team and I'm looking forward to working with them more moving forward!
