Welcome Wade
Very happy to announce that this week Wade Baglin joins our growing Brisbane team as a Lead Engineer.
I've known and worked with Wade for 3 years having been on teams together across RSPCA and Readify. He's been such a joy to work with and has always been such a strong engineer and member of the team. I'm also constantly amazed at his razor sharp wit and emoji abilities. He's got a dozen lined up for every possible scenario. I'm incredibly excited to have him on as one of our makers.
Here's some words from our CEO, Matt Davies:
Wade is another strong addition to growing team of makers. His impressive talents really strengthen our own capabilities.
Here's a small novel from the man himself, Wade:
What are the key differences between and good company and a great company? It's a question I've been asking myself more frequently over the years. As a consultant with many years of experience, I've been fortunate to work directly and indirectly for many companies. With my knowledge and in my personal opinion, it boils down to this: A company that is open both internally and externally. A company that sees its employees as people and treats them as individuals by empowering them with flexibility, responsibility, and the tools they need to achieve great things. A company that believes in and portrays a truthful image of itself, an image that guides its people and clients. And lastly, a company that is aware of its responsibilities towards employees, clients, investors, the broader social setting and practices a balanced approach with its actions.
MakerX is accomplishing great things, and I am confident it will be successful, as it more than exceeds what I believe makes for a great company. I'm both proud and honoured to join MakerX. I look forward to being the recipient of MakerX's success and the success of and the teachings from my new colleagues, and I hope to contribute equally.
